The Center Is A Hub For Research And Innovation
FORT LAUDERDALE/DAVIE, Fla. – JLL has been tapped to lease the state-of-the-art Center for Collaborative Research at Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) main campus in Davie, Florida. The 215,000-square-foot building features dry and wet laboratory space optimal for biotech, technology, and incubator users looking to partner with one of the state’s most dynamic research institutions.
The JLL agency leasing team of Brady Titcomb, Vice President, and Miles Glascock MCR, Healthcare Practice Group, will spearhead the leasing of 84,000 square feet at the property, considered one of the leading life sciences, research and innovation centers in South Florida. “NSU’s Center for Collaborative Research offers the highest level of amenities, facilities, and capabilities for companies seeking premier lab and office space combined with access to basic research, translational research, clinical research and healthcare academic programs,” said Gary S. Margules, Sc.D, Vice President for Office Research and Technology Transfer at NSU. “This is an institution with high research activity where tenants can collaborate with the university’s brightest minds, best students and benefit from the full lab infrastructure the life sciences building offers.”
The Center for Collaborative Research, or CCR, is Broward’s premiere life sciences building comprised of six floors of wet and dry lab and office space. The Center for Collaborative Research’s best-in-class amenities include mechanical and research utilities purposely built for life sciences, modular and flexible floorplates, access to core equipment and facilities, access to Florida Lambda Rail – a high-speed internet services consortium, access to high performance computing services for data modeling, and access to the second floor STEM area complete with conference rooms with video and conferencing technology.
Current tenants include Gateway Institute for Brain Research, known as an international cutting-edge research center; NSU Auto Nation Institute for Breast and Solid Tumor Cancer Research; NSU’s Cell Therapy Institute; NSU’s Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine; and U.S Geological Survey Administration (USGS), the sole science agency for the Department of the Interior, sought out by thousands of partners and customers for its natural science expertise and its vast earth and biological data holdings.
“With medical research at the forefront of everyone’s minds today, this newly built, state-of-the-art life sciences facility has never been more relevant. Recently built, the Center for Collaborative Research now provides life sciences companies with a viable option to house and grow their medical research facilities in South Florida,” said Brady Titcomb, Vice President of JLL. “Whether it is a start-up company performing cutting edge biotech research that can benefit from the use of NSU’s facilities, equipment and personnel, or a well-established biopharmaceutical innovator seeking to relocate operations to South Florida, the CCR provides that opportunity.”
The center is located in the heart of Southeast Florida and adjacent to preeminent medical colleges offering access to the area’s institutions of higher education as well as entertainment destinations and the beaches. Tenants will also benefit from on-site campus facilities, including a college preparatory school serving preschool through grade 12.
