NSU’s Huizenga College presents Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame on Tuesday, October 10

FORT LAUDERDALE/DAVIE, FL – The H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship is proud to present its 34th Annual Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023, from 5:30-9 p.m. The prestigious event will take place at the Rick Case Arena, located at Southwest 75th Avenue, Davie, FL 33328.

The Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame is a celebration of the remarkable achievements and contributions made by outstanding individuals in the business world. Over the years, this event has honored some of the most influential business shakers and movers, including Guy Harvey, Rita Case, Mario Murgado, Terry Stiles, H. Wayne Huizenga, Beverly Raphael, and Carl A. DeSantis.

This year, the Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame will recognize three exceptional individuals for their outstanding accomplishments:

  • Antonio “Tony” Argiz: Mr. Argiz is the South Florida Managing Partner at BDO USA, a premier accounting, consulting, financial advisory, and tax organization. With an impressive track record, Mr. Argiz led the growth of the largest Florida-based professional services firm, positioning it as one of the top 40 accounting firms in the nation. His expertise and leadership have been instrumental in shaping the business landscape.
  • Leon Ellman: As Chairman of the JLE Group, a private equity investment and management consulting firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Mr. Ellman has demonstrated exceptional business acumen. Previously, he founded and chaired the Sherwood Bedding Group, one of the nation’s largest bedding manufacturers. His visionary approach and strategic insights have propelled the success of numerous ventures.
  • Donald Sussman: With more than 30 years of experience in hedge fund investing, Mr. Sussman is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of the Paloma Fund, a billion-dollar-plus investment fund. Not only has he achieved remarkable financial success, but he has also made significant contributions to charitable, community, educational, and political organizations, surpassing $100 million in donations throughout his lifetime.

The Entrepreneur and Business Hall of Fame is a testament to the power of entrepreneurship and the impact it has on our society. This event serves as an inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders, showcasing the possibilities that can be achieved through dedication, innovation, and hard work.
