On Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2023, NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library and the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center presented the documentary film screening of “Rubin,” the story of the events leading up to the lynching of Ruben Stacy in Fort Lauderdale in 1935. Chelsea Jones with CBS News Miami, came to NSU and interviewed director Tenille Brown, a Rubin Stacy relative who spearheaded the project.
