As the state and nation grapple with teacher shortfalls – with Florida struggling to fill more than 5,000 teacher vacancies – there are some bright spots in finding ways to mitigate this crisis. Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice is one of them. The college’s Fischler Academy opened its doors in the fall of 2018, and since its inception, it has graduated more than 200 educators.
