FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Jonathan D. Wexler, Ed.D., former vice president for enrollment management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in New York, has been named assistant vice president for enrollment management at Nova Southeastern University.
In the newly established role, Wexler will oversee undergraduate and graduate admissions across NSU’s nine campuses, playing a key leadership role in shaping the university’s enrollment strategy.

Wexler has more than two decades of experience in enrollment management at prominent institutions. At RPI, Wexler led the offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, and Pipeline Programs. Under his leadership, RPI experienced record-breaking enrollment numbers and significant geographic diversification, with increased enrollment from students outside the Northeast. The academic profile of the entering freshman class also improved markedly during his nearly 10-year tenure.
Wexler’s career includes other senior leadership roles in higher education:
- Vice president for enrollment management, Fairleigh Dickinson University
- Associate vice president for enrollment, University of Puget Sound
- Dean of undergraduate admissions, Polytechnic University (now NYU Tandon School of Engineering)
- Director of graduate recruitment, Drexel University
Wexler earned his doctor’s degree in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of South Carolina and dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and communications from Goucher College in Baltimore, Md.
