When Nasir Boykin Smith left college to help care for her grandparents, but it caused problems with their housing community – Orangebrook Harbor, a 55-and-older community. When the housing community tried evict them, the family contacted “Help Me Howard” with Patrick Fraser on 7 News Miami.
Fraser enlisted the legal assistance of Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law. Professor Matthew Dietz, a noted attorney on disability, and his law students at NSU took a look at this case and helped save the family from eviction.
