Dr. Selima Ben Mrad Receives Fulbright Specialist Program Award for Her Work with Two Business Schools in Tunisia
The Fulbright Specialist Program is a unique opportunity for U.S. academics and established professionals to engage in two- to six-week, project-based exchanges at host institutions across the globe. The program pairs highly qualified U.S. academics and professionals with host institutions abroad to share their expertise, strengthen institutional linkages, hone their skills, gain international experience, and learn about other cultures while building capacity at their overseas host institutions.
In March, HCBE Associate Professor of Marketing Selima Ben Mrad, Ph.D., traveled to Tunisia to work with faculty and administrations at the Mediterranean School of Business and the Tunis Business School. At the Mediterranean School of Business, Dr. Ben Mrad worked with the dean, administration, and department chairs. She also conducted faculty workshops focused on various aspects of the assurance of learning process, including developing rubrics, streamlining the process, and collaborative efforts in evaluating assessments to identify areas for improvement.
It was truly engaging to witness the faculty’s enthusiasm and commitment to enhancing the learning experience for their students.

Dr. Ben Mrad was also invited by the American Embassy to attend the Tunis Business School to learn about their curriculum and discuss their accreditation work to achieve IACBE accreditation. Established in 2010, the Tunis Business School is the first public business institution in Tunisia to use English as the language of instruction and follow the American higher education model.
