It was presented recently at the 55th World Continuous Auditing & Reporting Symposium (WCARS) in Visakhapatnam, India.

Nova Southeastern University Associate Professor of Finance Kershen HuangAssociate Professor of Finance Kershen Huang, Ph.D., and colleagues authored and presented Option Trading Imbalance, Cash Flow News, and Discount Rate News at the 2022 Southern Finance Association Annual Meeting. They also authored and presented Climate Risk, ESG Performance, and ESG Sentiment for U.S. Commercial Banks at the 2022 Financial Management Association European Conference in Lyon, France; at the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia; and at the 2022 FactSet Truvalue Labs Academic Roundtable (virtual).

Joung W. Kim, Ph.D., Chair of the Accounting Department and Associate Professor at the Huizenga College of Business and entrepreneurship at NSU FloridaManagerial Responses to Changes in Fair Value Accounting for Equity Securities, a paper by  Joung Kim, Ph.D. (Chair of the Accounting Department and Associate Professor) and  Daeun Lee, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor of Accounting) was presented at the Conference on Financial Economics and Accounting (CFEA 2022) in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Lee also spoke at the conference on Customized XBRL Extensions and SEC Oversight. At the American Accounting Association’s 2023 Joint Midyear Meeting of the AIS, SET, and International Sections, he presented SEC Oversight of Non-U.S. Firms Cross-Listed in the U.S.

NSU Business Associate Professor of Decision Sciences Steven KramerSteven Kramer, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Decision Sciences spoke on Taking Time Considerations for Customer Service, at the ASQ North Jersey Monthly meeting (virtual) in September.

 

NSU Business Professor of Management Bahaudin MujtabaNSU Business Professor of Management Bahaudin Mujtaba, D.B.A. discussed Preventing Bullying and Mobbing Behaviors in the Workplace in an interview on the Tegan Osmond Channel in Canada.

In December, he gave two presentations at the 8th ASIA International Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Task and Relationship Orientation of Aspiring Leaders: A Study of Male and Female Adults in Business Education, and Trust Shaping the Social Relationship of Learners in the Online Education Environment.

Recently, Dr. Mujtaba presented Policies and Best Practices for Dealing with Workplace Interpersonal Conflicts, Bullying and Mobbing, to the Government College Women University Faisalabad Public Administration Department in Pakistan.

Nova Southeastern University Professor of Decision Sciences Florence NeymotinNova Southeastern University Professor of Decision Sciences Florence Neymotin, Ph.D., presented the work she coauthored with Fred Forgey, Ph.D., Chair and Associate Professor of NSU Business Public Administration and Real Estate Development, Government Stimulus Payments and Mortgages During COVID-19: Evidence from the Census Pulse Survey, at the Academy of International Business 2022 AIB US-Southeast Chapter Conference in Panama City Beach, FL, in October.

Neymotin also gave two presentations on the work she coauthored with colleagues titled, Additional Lives Saved During COVID-19? How Vaccination Affects Willingness to Go to the Doctor, at the Southern Economic Association (SEA) 92nd Annual Meeting in Fort Lauderdale, FL (November), and at the American Economic Association’s ASSA 2023 Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA (January).

NSU Assistant Professor of Management Katelynn Sell, Ph.D. gave a presentation in August at the 82nd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Seattle, WA, titled, Collective Strategy: Industry Legitimation, and Discourse: Institutional Work of Trade Associations.

In October at the Association for Business Communication’s 2022 Annual International Conference in Tampa, FL, Dr. Sell presented, The Effects on COVID-19 Risk, Gender, and Self-Compassion on Workplace Cyberbullying and Job Satisfaction of University Faculty.
