More than 350 high school students from 40 high schools representing nine states convened for two days at NSU for the Virtual Enterprises International Southern Regional Conference and Exhibition.
On February 8 and February 9, HCBE was host to the second annual Southern Regional Conference and Exhibition. Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship has been an active supporter of Virtual Enterprises International (VE), holding annual VE Florida Business Plan Competitions on campus for many years. This year, three Huizenga Business Innovation Academy students who were VE alumni, participated as junior judges for the business competition.
“I am incredibly honored to be asked to judge for the Southern Regional Conference. As a Virtual Enterprises alum, getting the opportunity to experience this full-circle moment was one for the books.”
“It’s a true privilege to witness the dedication, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of these talented high school students as they present their innovative businesses. Being part of this experience reminds me of the invaluable skills and mindset that VE instilled in me as a future leader in business, and I’m thrilled to continue contributing to the shaping of the next generation of leaders.”

Virtual Enterprises International (VE) is an educational nonprofit organization that has been providing high schools with immersive business and entrepreneurial experiences for students since 1996. In managing the day-to-day operations of a high school team firm, students learn business skills and develop an entrepreneurial mindset. The experience also helps them identify career pathways that align with their interests, talents, and aspirations.
